Rialto市县立分图书馆重新开放：新增沉浸式空间站故事空间与创客实验室
加利福尼亚州圣贝纳迪诺县Rialto市的县立分图书馆经过改造后，于10月19日（周一）重新向公众开放。县府表示，200多名社区居民参加了重开活动，其中包括40名县学前服务项目的学童。
重开仪式上，县监事Joe Baca Jr.、Rialto市长Joe Baca、前NASA宇航员José Hernández博士与Garner Holt等嘉宾到场致辞。图书馆新增两大空间：一是沉浸式「空间站」儿童故事空间，让孩子们在太空主题环境中听故事；二是Animaker创客空间，配备3D打印机、乙烯基打印机、激光切割机、CNC铣床、真空成型机、刺绣缝纫设备、喷枪间与舞台灯光系统，并有一台名为Radian的电子动画人偶。
县图书馆馆长Melanie Orosco表示，改造后的Rialto分图书馆把阅读、科技与动手创造结合在一起，服务全年龄段居民。

Rialto Branch Library Reopens With Immersive Space Station Storytime Space and Animaker Lab
The Rialto Branch Library, in the city of Rialto, San Bernardino County, California, reopened to the public on Monday, October 19 after a reimagining of its spaces. The county said more than 200 community members attended the reopening, including 40 students from County Preschool Services.
Speakers at the ceremony included Supervisor Joe Baca Jr., Rialto Mayor Joe Baca, former NASA astronaut Dr. José Hernández and Garner Holt. The library's two signature additions are an immersive space-station-themed storytime space for children and an Animaker Space equipped with 3D printers, a vinyl printer, a laser cutter, a CNC mill, a vacuum former, embroidery and sewing equipment, an airbrush hood, show lighting and an animatronic figure named Radian.
County Librarian Melanie Orosco said the reimagined branch combines reading, technology and hands-on creation for residents of all ages.
The Rialto Branch is part of the San Bernardino County Library system; hours and program schedules are posted on the county library website.
