DC Police Arrest Suspect in Atlantic Street Shooting: 27-Year-Old Woman Charged With Assault With a Gun
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced on November 1 that it has made an arrest in a shooting that occurred in Southeast Washington, D.C. The shooting happened in the 300 block of Atlantic Street, Southeast, and the victim was not injured.
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, at approximately 3:55 a.m., the suspect approached the victim, brandished a handgun, fired at the victim, and then fled the scene. The victim was not injured.
On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, pursuant to a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, 27-year-old Ashley Ray, of Southeast, D.C., was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun). The case is CCN 26122117.
