ICE Arrests Five Criminal Illegal Aliens Across the U.S., Including Convicted Murderers and Child Sex Offenders, DHS Says
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on October 29 arrested more of what the Department of Homeland Security calls the "worst of the worst" criminal illegal aliens across the country, including people convicted of homicide, drug-induced rape, and continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, DHS said in a statement on October 30.
"Yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, rapists, pedophiles, and other public safety threats who should have never been in this country to begin with," said Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin. "Thanks to decisive action from President Trump, the patriots of ICE are empowered to do their job and remove illegal aliens from our communities. Too many American lives have been ended by preventable illegal alien crime. ICE will not rest until every illegal alien is arrested and removed from the U.S."
The arrests announced by DHS include: Ottmar Johnson, a criminal illegal alien from Jamaica, convicted of homicide and a weapons offense in Prince George's County, Maryland; Apolinar Meza-Ponce, from Mexico, convicted of attempted first-degree murder in Joliet, Illinois; Francisco Roman-Mencias, from Mexico, convicted of rape – drug-induced in Salt Lake City, Utah; Marco Julio Sandoval, from Guatemala, convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child and lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 in San Bernardino, California; and Matheus Abner De Souza-Soares, from Brazil, convicted of illicit sexual contact with a victim under 13 in Enfield, Connecticut.
DHS said Americans can see more public safety threats arrested in their communities on its Worst of the Worst webpage.
