Blythewood, Richland County, South Carolina: Global Supplier Brose Sitech Announces New Facility on October 29 to Supply Complete Seating Systems for Scout Motors Production Center
Global supplier Brose Sitech announced on October 29 that it will build a new production facility in Blythewood, Richland County, South Carolina, to supply complete seating systems for the Scout Motors Production Center. Scout Motors President and CEO Scott Keogh said that when the on-site Supplier Park at the Scout Production Center was announced last year, the company promised it would lead to more jobs, investment and economic prosperity, and that this announcement represents the beginning of that promise being fulfilled, with the partnership further strengthening the local automotive supply chain. Chad Nelson, plant manager for Brose Sitech, said building a production facility from the ground up gives the company the opportunity to create a strong team and culture from day one, and that the company is looking for people who want to grow with it and help build the future of Brose Sitech in the United States. The new facility will combine Brose Sitech's experience in complete seating systems with modern manufacturing processes and a locally based workforce to serve vehicle production at the Scout Production Center.
