夏威夷州商业、经济发展与旅游厅10月29日在檀香山公布2026年9月游客初步统计：当月游客总消费为14.1亿美元，比2025年9月下降9.0%；到访游客共672990人次，比2025年同期的697986人次减少3.6%。
与此同时，游客人均日消费为283美元，同比上升5.4%，但平均停留时间缩短至7.39天，低于2025年9月的8.25天；全州游客日均在册人数为165770人，同比下降13.7%，2025年同期为191994人。
厅方在通报中说明了天气因素：9月6日至8日，飓风洛厄尔擦过夏威夷群岛，带来强风、严重洪涝和停电，对考艾岛的住宅、企业和基础设施造成大面积破坏，航班取消、改道和延误影响了乘飞机抵达的游客，不少乘外州邮轮到访的游客也未能按行程停靠全部港口；9月下旬，飓风诺洛从群岛以南海域擦过，其庞大的外围雨带给考艾岛带来强降雨，拖慢了洛厄尔过后的清理工作。厅方表示，上述数据为初步统计，游客消费以名义美元计价。
9月数据的下滑发生在旅游业仍在消化连续风灾影响的背景下，州政府未在通报中对10月走势作出预测。
Hawaii Visitor Spending Fell 9% to $1.41 Billion in September, State Agency Announced October 29
Hawaii's Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT) released preliminary September 2026 visitor statistics in Honolulu on October 29: total visitor spending for the month was $1.41 billion, down 9.0 percent from September 2025, and total arrivals were 672,990, down 3.6 percent from 697,986 a year earlier.
At the same time, visitors spent an average of $283 per person per day, up 5.4 percent year on year, but the average length of stay shortened to 7.39 days from 8.25 days in September 2025. The statewide average daily visitor census was 165,770, down 13.7 percent from 191,994 a year earlier.
The department cited weather factors: from September 6 to 8, Hurricane Lowell passed close to the Hawaiian Islands, bringing strong winds, severe flooding and power outages and causing extensive damage to homes, businesses and infrastructure on Kauai; flight cancellations, reroutings and delays affected visitors arriving by air, and many cruise visitors could not call at all scheduled ports. In late September, Hurricane Nolo skirted south of the islands, and its large outer rainbands brought heavy rain to Kauai, slowing cleanup after Lowell.
The department said the figures are preliminary and that visitor spending is measured in nominal dollars. The September decline came as the visitor industry was still absorbing the effects of successive storms, and the release offered no forecast for October.
