San Bernardino County Library Halloween Reading Treat Through Oct. 31: Borrow 30 Items, Get a Light-Up Pumpkin Bucket
San Bernardino County Library in California is running a Halloween borrowing promotion, "Friendly Frights": through October 31, readers who check out 30 qualifying items can receive a pumpkin bucket with a light-up handle, while supplies last.
According to the county library, qualifying items include books, movies and other collection materials. The buckets come in orange, purple, green and neon green, with availability varying by branch.
The library says the promotion pairs the fun of trick-or-treating with reading, encouraging families to borrow and read more over the holiday; interested readers can ask at their nearest county library branch.
