Nebraska Women's Golf Assistant Halley Morell Named LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year, the Third Section Honor of Her Career
LINCOLN, Lancaster County, Nebraska — The University of Nebraska announced on October 28 that women's golf assistant coach Halley Morell has been named the 2026 LPGA Central Section Coach of the Year, the third section coach-of-the-year honor of her career.
The award recognizes Morell's work as Bradley University's head coach during the 2025–26 season: she led Bradley to a second-place finish in the Missouri Valley Conference, the program's best in 20 years, falling one stroke short of the title won by Murray State. All five Bradley players placed in the top 20 at the conference championship, with Alyssa Mixon in the top five, and she coached three all-conference players — Allison Pacocha, Jillian Cosler and Caroline McConnell. Earlier this spring she also led Bradley to the title at the 19-team Rio Verde Invitational.
Morell previously earned LPGA Midwest Section Coach of the Year honors in 2019 and 2021. This season is her first as a Nebraska women's golf assistant coach.
