The Autry Museum of the American West, in Griffith Park in the city of Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, offers free admission to all visitors on the second Tuesday of every month. The November free day falls on Tuesday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles; the next free day is Dec. 8.
The museum's collection of more than 500,000 pieces of art and artifacts includes Native American art and cultural materials, film memorabilia, historic firearms and paintings, making it one of the leading institutions for the history and cultures of the American West.
Regular admission is $19 for adults, $14 for students and seniors 60 and over, and $8 for children ages 3 to 12; members, veterans and children 2 and under are always free. Details: theautry.org.
