北卡州博览会饥饿救济日筹得17万份餐食：33年累计逾580万份
北卡罗来纳州韦克县罗利市，史密斯菲尔德食品公司（Smithfield Foods）10月26日发布数据：本届北卡罗来纳州博览会「饥饿救济日」共为本地家庭筹得17万份餐食，该活动已举办33年，是全州规模最大的单日食物募捐活动。
活动当天，游客捐赠6件不易腐坏的食品即可免费入场；州农业部门公布的数字显示，本届共收到203,783磅食品，可提供逾17万份餐食，比2025年多出2万份。自1993年以来，游客累计捐赠的食物已为北卡家庭提供超过580万份餐食。

NC State Fair Hunger Relief Day Raises 170,000 Meals: More Than 5.8 Million Since 1993
In Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, Smithfield Foods announced on October 26 that this year's Hunger Relief Day at the North Carolina State Fair raised 170,000 meals for local families. Now in its 33rd year, the event is the largest single-day food drive in the state.
On Hunger Relief Day, fairgoers who donated six non-perishable food items received free admission. The state Department of Agriculture said 203,783 pounds of food were collected, enough for more than 170,000 meals, up 20,000 from 2025. Since 1993, fairgoers have donated enough food to provide more than 5.8 million meals.
Amy Beros, president and CEO of the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, thanked Smithfield Foods and fairgoers for their support. The fair closed on October 25 after drawing 910,584 visitors over 11 days.
