美国深圳联合会与FreshLemon华人健康知识普及联合推出的「美国医学公益讲座」本周日继续举行，本期主题为「食物、情绪和隐藏的成瘾循环」，由家庭医生孙阳主讲。讲座通过Zoom线上举行，免费向公众开放。

本期讲座探讨食物、大脑和心理健康之间的强大联系：为什么了解人与食物的关系，是心理健康的重要组成部分。主办方介绍，我们很重视吃什么、吃多少，以及食物如何影响体重，但很少问自己为什么要吃东西；本期讲座将讨论如何打破不健康的成瘾循环，重新获得控制权，并与食物、与我们自己建立更健康的关系。
主讲人孙阳，医学博士、美国家庭医生，在旧金山湾区从医20多年，是FreshLemon华人健康公益联合创始人，现任凯撒医疗集团（Kaiser Permanente）高级内科医师、Drexel大学医学院临床副教授，曾在加州大学旧金山分校（UCSF）附属医院接受住院医师培训。
FreshLemon华人健康公益是经美国联邦及加州批准的501(c)(3)非营利公益组织。「美国医学公益讲座」是该机构与美国深圳联合会合作推出的系列公益讲座，每周日与公众相约。

The U.S. Shenzhen Federation and FreshLemon, a Chinese health-education nonprofit, will hold this week's session of their U.S. Medical Public Lecture series on Sunday, October 25. Titled "Food, Emotions and the Hidden Cycle of Addiction," the talk will be given by family physician Dr. Sun Yang and held online via Zoom, free and open to the public.

The lecture explores the powerful connection between food, the brain and mental health: why understanding our relationship with food is an important part of mental health. We pay close attention to what we eat, how much we eat and how food affects our weight, the organizers note, but we rarely ask ourselves why we eat. The talk will discuss how to break unhealthy cycles of addiction, regain control, and build a healthier relationship with food and with ourselves.
Dr. Sun Yang holds a medical doctorate and is a U.S. family physician who has practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area for more than 20 years. She is a co-founder of FreshLemon, a senior internal medicine physician at Kaiser Permanente, and a clinical associate professor at Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at a UCSF-affiliated hospital.
FreshLemon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization approved by the U.S. federal government and the State of California. The U.S. Medical Public Lecture series, co-presented with the U.S. Shenzhen Federation, meets every Sunday.
