Seahawks Fined and Shuffle Roster: Bradford Returns Ahead of Sunday Night Clash With the Chiefs
On October 24, the Seattle Seahawks, in King County, Washington, were hit with fines announced by the NFL stemming from plays in their overtime loss to the Denver Broncos: players were fined a combined $19,530, with Mike Morris fined $6,808 and Ty Okada fined $6,361 twice. The fines landed as the Seahawks prepared for a nationally televised showdown against the Kansas City Chiefs at Lumen Field on Sunday night, October 25, kicking off at 8:20 p.m. Eastern. Seattle is 3-3 after consecutive losses to San Francisco and Denver and needs a win to stop the slide, while the unbeaten Chiefs present a stiff test. The same day, the team made its final roster moves: guard Anthony Bradford, out since the Week 1 win over New England with knee and hip injuries and placed on injured reserve, was activated to return; linebacker Jimmy Ciarlo and cornerback Trevon Diggs were elevated from the practice squad, Diggs having been released the day before and re-signed to the squad that day. Head coach Mike Macdonald's defense must contain Kansas City's offense while avoiding a repeat of the illegal-contact penalties that drew the fines.
