全国处方药回收日 10 月 24 日举行：全美 4,400 多个回收点免费回收闲置药品
美国缉毒局（DEA）宣布，第 31 届全国处方药回收日将于 10 月 24 日（周六）上午 10 时至下午 2 时举行，全美将设 4,400 多个回收点，免费回收民众家中闲置、过期或不再需要的处方药，回收时无需登记个人信息。
DEA 表示，举办回收日是为了防止处方药被滥用或落入他人之手，并避免药品被冲入下水道污染环境。无法在当日前往回收点的民众，也可使用遍布全美的 15,300 多个常设药品回收点；这些回收点设在药房、医院和执法机构等地，全年开放。
今年 4 月举行的春季回收日，单日回收处方药达 642,410 磅。DEA 芝加哥分局 10 月 14 日发布的公告说，民众可在 DEA 官网查询离自己最近的回收点。
回收范围一般包括片剂、胶囊、贴剂等处方药；注射器、尖锐物品和非法毒品不在回收之列，各回收点的具体要求以现场说明为准。

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day Set for October 24: More Than 4,400 Collection Sites Nationwide
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has announced that the 31st National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be held on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with more than 4,400 collection sites across the country accepting unused, expired or unwanted prescription drugs free of charge and with no questions asked.
The DEA said the event is meant to keep prescription drugs from being misused or diverted, and to keep them out of waterways. People who cannot visit a site on Saturday can use more than 15,300 permanent collection receptacles located at pharmacies, hospitals and law enforcement agencies nationwide, which are available year-round.
The spring Take Back Day held in April collected 642,410 pounds of prescription drugs in a single day. The DEA's Chicago Division said in an October 14 announcement that residents can find their nearest collection site on the DEA website.
Collection sites generally accept tablets, capsules and patches; syringes, sharps and illicit drugs are not accepted, and specific requirements vary by site.
