Oregon Governor Tina Kotek proclaimed October 19-23, 2026, as Community Bank Week in Oregon, recognizing the role of community banks in local economies.
According to figures cited in the proclamation, Oregon's community banks operate 113 branches and loan offices, employ 2,365 Oregonians, and provide more than $1 billion in local small-business lending.
The proclamation notes that community banks keep deposits working locally and support the financing needs of small businesses and families, serving as the primary financial providers in many towns and rural areas. Community banks across the state are holding customer and community events during the week.
