Supervisor Fielder Proposes $1.7 Million More for Immigrant Legal Aid in San Francisco
In San Francisco, a city and county in California, San Francisco Supervisor Jackie Fielder announced a proposal at City Hall on October 20 to add $1.7 million for immigrant legal aid and the city's rapid response network, a measure that now goes to the Board of Supervisors. The announcement came a day after ICE detained Milton Ramos Rodriguez in the South of Market area; his family provided photos of injuries, and the Public Defender's Office is providing legal consultation.
