Earnings Super Week: Netflix Reports Tuesday After Close, Meta and Tesla on Wednesday
U.S. markets face one of the year's busiest earnings weeks. According to published earnings calendars, Netflix reports after the close on Tuesday, October 20, alongside SpaceX and General Motors, among others. Meta and Tesla both report after the close on Wednesday, October 21, with IBM, Texas Instruments and Lam Research the same day. Procter & Gamble follows on October 22 and American Express after that. About 80 S&P 500 companies are scheduled to report this week.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 4.48% last week and the S&P 500 fell 1.95%. Investors are focused on streaming subscriber and advertising trends, electric vehicle margins, and whether big technology companies' super intelligence capital spending is producing returns. The Federal Reserve holds its next policy meeting on October 27-28 and is in its pre-meeting blackout period this week.
