美国夏令时将于11月1日（周日）凌晨2时正式结束，届时全美多数地区的时钟将回拨一小时至凌晨1时，人们可以多睡一小时，但冬日傍晚天黑的时间也将提前。今年的结束日期是该制度下最早可能出现的日期。
自2007年起，美国夏令时固定于每年3月第二个周日开始、11月第一个周日结束。夏威夷州与亚利桑那州大部分地区（Navajo Nation 除外）以及波多黎各、关岛等属地全年实行标准时间，不参与时钟调整。
围绕是否取消一年两次调表的争论仍在继续。据《今日美国》与佛州媒体报道，联邦众议院已于今年7月通过一项使夏令时永久化的法案，目前正等待参议院审议，在法案成为法律之前，现行调整安排不变。民调方面，盖洛普2025年1月的调查显示54%的受访者希望结束一年两次调表的做法；YouGov 2023年的调查则有62%受访者支持取消调表。
11月1日凌晨调整后，全美日出与日落时间将按时钟提前约一小时，清晨光线更足、傍晚入夜更早。
Daylight Saving Time Ends November 1; Clocks Go Back One Hour as Permanent-DST Bill Waits in the Senate
Daylight saving time in the United States will end at 2 a.m. local time on Sunday, November 1, when clocks in most of the country move back one hour to 1 a.m., giving Americans an extra hour of sleep and bringing earlier winter sunsets. This year's end date is the earliest possible under the current system.
Since 2007, U.S. daylight saving time has run from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November. Hawaii, most of Arizona (except the Navajo Nation) and territories including Puerto Rico and Guam stay on standard time year-round and do not change their clocks.
The debate over ending the twice-yearly change continues. According to USA Today and Florida news reports, the U.S. House approved legislation in July that would make daylight saving time permanent; the bill is awaiting action in the Senate, and the current schedule remains in place unless it becomes law. A January 2025 Gallup poll found 54% of Americans wanted to end the practice of changing clocks, while a 2023 YouGov survey found 62% favored eliminating the changes.
After the November 1 change, sunrise and sunset will both occur about an hour earlier by the clock, with brighter mornings and darker evenings.
