美国2025年社区调查：印度裔单报541万人居亚裔之首，华裔单报465万人、合并计597万人
华盛顿——美国人口普查局10月29日发布2025年美国社区调查（ACS）一年期估计数据。在该调查的亚裔细分群体表（表B02015）中，2025年自报为「印度裔单报」的人数达5,410,622人，估计误差约为77,464人；这一数字高于2024年的5,094,694人，一年增加约31.6万人。按单报口径，印度裔是美国最大的亚裔群体。
华裔的数字要分两种口径看。人口普查局的分类为「华裔（不含台湾裔）」：2025年单报华裔人数为4,645,729人。按单报口径计算，印度裔比华裔多约76.5万人。
若换成合并口径（表B02018），即把「单报或与其他群体合并填报」的人都算进来，排序出现变化：2025年印度裔合并人数为5,906,267人，华裔（不含台湾裔）合并人数为5,971,959人，华裔反超印度裔约6.6万人，两组人数处在同一量级。
出生地数字（表B05006）同样来自这次调查。2025年在美国居住、出生于印度的人数为3,395,788人，高于2024年的3,162,885人；出生于中国（不含香港、台湾）的人数为2,402,563人，出生于菲律宾的人数为2,236,835人，出生于墨西哥的人数为10,613,032人。2025年美国外国出生总人口估计为50,409,098人，美国总人口为341,784,859人。
人口普查局说明，美国社区调查一年期估计覆盖人口在6.5万人以上的地区，调查主题超过40个，包括语言、教育、通勤、就业、收入、贫困与医疗保险等。上述数字均为调查估计数、不是精确点数，解读时须同时看口径：单报只计只填报一个群体的人，合并口径则把填报该群体加其他群体的人也算进来，并须留意估计误差。

2025 American Community Survey: Asian Indian Alone Reaches 5.41 Million, Largest Asian Group; Chinese Alone 4.65 Million, 5.97 Million in Combination
WASHINGTON — The U.S. Census Bureau released the 2025 American Community Survey (ACS) 1-year estimates on October 29. In the survey's detailed Asian-group table (Table B02015), 5,410,622 people in the United States reported Asian Indian alone in 2025, with a margin of error of about 77,464 — up from 5,094,694 in 2024, an increase of roughly 316,000 in one year. Counted alone, Asian Indians are the largest Asian group in the country.
The Chinese figures must be read under two definitions. The Census Bureau category is "Chinese, except Taiwanese": 4,645,729 people reported Chinese, except Taiwanese, alone in 2025. On the alone count, the Asian Indian population exceeded the Chinese population by about 765,000.
Under the broader alone-or-in-combination count (Table B02018), the order flips. The 2025 Asian Indian alone-or-in-combination total was 5,906,267, while the Chinese, except Taiwanese, alone-or-in-combination total was 5,971,959 — about 66,000 higher, putting the two groups at a similar scale.
Place-of-birth figures (Table B05006) come from the same survey. In 2025, 3,395,788 U.S. residents were born in India, up from 3,162,885 in 2024; 2,402,563 were born in China, excluding Hong Kong and Taiwan; 2,236,835 were born in the Philippines; and 10,613,032 were born in Mexico. The total foreign-born population in 2025 was estimated at 50,409,098, and the total U.S. population at 341,784,859.
The Census Bureau notes that ACS 1-year estimates cover areas with populations of 65,000 or more and span more than 40 topics, including language, education, commuting, employment, income, poverty and health insurance. All figures are survey estimates rather than exact counts, and should be read together with their definitions and margins of error.
