车管局：Santa Barbara 办公室10月23日下午5时起闭门装修 明年1月15日重开
加州车管局（DMV）10月16日宣布，位于 Santa Barbara 市 Castillo Street 535号的车管局办公室将于10月23日（周五）下午5时起临时关闭进行装修，定于明年1月15日（周五）上午8时重开。
装修内容包括更换地板与地毯、添置新家具、内外墙重新粉刷、升级数据线缆与洗手间。装修期间，居民可前往周边办公室办理业务：Goleta 办公室（Hollister Ave. 7127号 #24，距 Santa Barbara 办公室12英里）、Ventura 办公室（Market St. 4260号，32英里）与 Oxnard 办公室（Saviers Road 4050号，40英里）。
车管局提醒，绝大多数业务无需到场办理：合资格的驾照与车辆登记续期等事项可在 dmv.ca.gov 在线完成，网站的「服务顾问」功能可查询具体业务的办理渠道；居民也可注册无纸化车辆登记与驾照续期通知。
DMV: Santa Barbara Office to Close Temporarily for Renovations on Oct. 23, Reopening Jan. 15
The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) announced on October 16 that its Santa Barbara office at 535 Castillo St. will close temporarily for renovations beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 23, and is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 15.
Improvements will include new flooring, carpet, furniture, interior and exterior paint, upgraded data cables and restrooms. Until the renovations are complete, customers can visit area offices in Goleta (7127 Hollister Ave., #24, 12 miles from the Santa Barbara office), Ventura (4260 Market St., 32 miles) and Oxnard (4050 Saviers Road, 40 miles).
The DMV notes that most tasks do not require an office visit: eligible driver's license and vehicle registration renewals can be completed online at dmv.ca.gov, and the website's Service Advisor explains the options for completing DMV tasks. Customers can also sign up for paperless vehicle registration and driver's license renewal notices.
