夏威夷航空在檀香山机场办残障人士练习航班 258人登机不起飞
夏威夷州Honolulu县檀香山国际机场——夏威夷航空10月18日举办了一场特殊的「练习航班」：258名乘客登上一架空客A330宽体客机，飞机推出、滑行，却没有起飞。整场演练专为患有自闭症、感官敏感及其他残障的旅客及其家属设计。
参与者完整走完值机、安检和登机的每一步，并感受宽体机滑行时的声音与晃动。对感官有挑战的旅客而言，这些环节若能提前在没有实际起飞压力的情况下熟悉，可帮助家庭了解出行时可能需要哪些协助。活动由夏威夷航空联合Never Quit Dreaming、夏威夷自闭症基金会和夏威夷自闭症协会举办。

Hawaiian Airlines Hosts Disability Practice Flight in Honolulu With 258 Aboard
HONOLULU, Honolulu County, Hawaii — Hawaiian Airlines hosted a special practice flight on October 18: 258 people boarded an Airbus A330 at Honolulu's airport, and the aircraft pushed back and taxied without ever taking off. The exercise was designed for travelers with autism, sensory sensitivities and other disabilities, along with their families.
Participants went through check-in, security and boarding, and experienced the sounds and movement of a taxiing widebody aircraft. For travelers with sensory challenges, rehearsing these ordinary steps without the pressure of an actual departure can help families understand what to expect and where assistance might be needed. The event was organized with Never Quit Dreaming, the Hawaii Autism Foundation and the Autism Society of Hawaii.
It was Hawaiian's first disability practice flight in Honolulu in ten years and the first time the airline used a widebody aircraft, allowing more families to participate. According to the airline, Reid and Sandra Moriyama had never flown together with their two children, and their younger son, who struggles to enter large buildings, eagerly entered the terminal and was among the first to board; his parents are now considering a family trip to Disneyland.
