Charlotte is a city in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The Charlotte 49ers beat the Temple Owls 38-31 in Philadelphia on Oct. 17, snapping a 15-game losing streak.
Quarterback Conner Harrell went 23-of-31 for 281 yards and two touchdown passes — a 24-yarder to Eley and a 9-yarder to McGee — and also ran for two scores, from 8 and 10 yards. Kicker Bui's 47-yard field goal with 1:48 left restored a two-score margin and sealed the win; Temple's late touchdown came too late. Charlotte improved to 1-6, its first win since beating Monmouth on Sept. 13, 2025. The 49ers host Tulane at Richardson Stadium on Oct. 30. (GSM, via the Associated Press and Reflector)
