Wisconsin lost 17-7 to No. 12 UCLA at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on the night of Oct. 17, ending the Badgers' four-game winning streak and dropping them to 4-2. UCLA quarterback Ty Dieffenbach, making a spot start, went 22-of-33 for 264 yards as the Bruins stayed unbeaten this season, and running back Wayne Knight scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter. Wisconsin quarterback Colton Joseph completed just 6 of 16 passes for 66 yards, and the Badgers were penalized 10 times for 102 yards. The schedule stiffens from here: Wisconsin faces No. 15 USC on Oct. 24 and No. 16 Iowa on Oct. 31.
