哥伦布——第46届全国儿童医院哥伦布马拉松暨第20届半程马拉松10月18日开跑，逾1.5万名选手参赛，他们来自49个州、哥伦比亚特区、波多黎各及15个国家，另有1,700多名志愿者与40多支乐队沿途助阵。
据《哥伦布电讯报》报道，男子全程冠军为伊利诺伊州布卢明顿的尼克·杜德（Nick Doud），成绩2小时15分08秒；女子冠军为俄亥俄州哈德森的阿什顿·斯温福德（Ashton Swinford），成绩2小时38分05秒。半程冠军为科尔比·博兰（Colbi Borland，1小时12分35秒）与詹姆斯·奎特尔鲍姆（James Quattlebaum，1小时01分30秒）。25岁的艾莉森·海尔（Alison Hile）自幼与囊性纤维化抗争，是全国儿童医院的患者，也是2012年赛事首位「患者冠军」，今年她在场边为双胞胎姐姐加油；她的母亲吉尔·海尔（Jill Hile）是赛事副主席。（GSM 据《哥伦布电讯报》报道）
46th Columbus Marathon Draws 15,000 Runners; Doud Wins Men's Race in 2:15:08
COLUMBUS — The 46th Nationwide Children's Hospital Columbus Marathon and 20th half marathon ran on October 18 with more than 15,000 participants from 49 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and 15 countries, supported by over 1,700 volunteers and more than 40 bands along the course.
Nick Doud of Bloomington, Illinois, won the men's marathon in 2:15:08, and Ashton Swinford of Hudson, Ohio, won the women's race in 2:38:05, the Columbus Dispatch reported. Colbi Borland (1:12:35) and James Quattlebaum (1:01:30) won the half marathon. Alison Hile, 25, a Nationwide Children's patient living with cystic fibrosis and the event's first Patient Champion in 2012, cheered on her twin sister from the sidelines; her mother, Jill Hile, is the race's vice president.
