Missouri Tumbles in Polls After 31-3 Loss at Ole Miss: 21st in Coaches, 22nd in AP
COLUMBIA — Missouri fell sharply in the polls released on October 18, dropping from 13th to 21st in the US LBM Coaches Poll and from 13th to 22nd in the Associated Press poll, where Florida passed the Tigers.
The slide followed Missouri's 31-3 loss at Ole Miss, in which the Tigers trailed 21-3 at halftime and managed only a field goal. Ole Miss rose to No. 7. It was a chaotic week at the top: five of the previous top eight teams lost, and Miami took over the No. 1 spot in both polls. (GSM, based on the Columbia Daily Tribune and the AP and coaches polls)
