旧金山自动测速相机上线18个月 市府称事发路段严重超速减少84%

San Francisco Speed Cameras Cut Dangerous Speeding 84% in First 18 Months, City Says
SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco is a city in San Francisco County, California (a consolidated city-county). Mayor Daniel Lurie announced that San Francisco's automated speed safety cameras have cut dangerous speeding by 84 percent at camera locations in the program's first 18 months, an estimated 42,000 fewer instances each day of drivers going 10 miles per hour or more over the limit. San Francisco was the first city in California to implement an automated speed safety camera program and is now helping other cities around the state design and analyze their own programs, with early data mirroring San Francisco's progress.
The results build on Lurie's Street Safety Initiative. This spring he cut the ribbon on the Terry Francois Boulevard Bike and Pedestrian Safety Project and broke ground on the Twin Peaks Promenade Project, followed this summer by completion of the Mission Street and Geneva Avenue Infrastructure Improvement Project in the Excelsior, bringing improved safety and accessibility to neighborhoods across the city. At the start of the school year, the city expanded 15- and 20-mile-per-hour speed limits near schools, increased traffic enforcement and continued funding for crossing guards.
Earlier this month, Lurie celebrated the passage of SB 1167, which gives law enforcement better tools to identify higher-powered electric motorcycles and mopeds that are mislabeled or sold as e-bikes.
