教育部拨款255万美元挺艺术教育下基层：Jacksonville 非营利机构获近400万美元新资金走向全国
位于佛罗里达州 Jacksonville 的非营利艺术教育机构 Cathedral Arts Project（CAP）10月16日宣布获得近395万美元新资金，将把其艺术融合教学模式推广至全美。其中，美国教育部（U.S. Department of Education）的255万美元拨款，是该机构历史上最大的一笔政府拨款，也是它获得的首笔联邦教育直接拨款。

Jacksonville Arts-Education Nonprofit Wins Nearly $4M, Including a $2.55M U.S. Education Department Grant, to Expand Nationwide
Jacksonville-based arts-education nonprofit Cathedral Arts Project (CAP) announced on October 16 nearly $3.95 million in new funding to take its arts-integrated teaching model nationwide — including a $2.55 million grant from the U.S. Department of Education, the largest government grant in the organization's history and its first direct federal education award.
The rest of the package includes a one-year, $991,758 state appropriation through the Florida Department of Education, $100,000 from the Hearst Foundations, $50,000 from the Find Your Light Foundation and $260,000 from a national foundation. The money will train 70 educators across the country and reach 7,000 additional students — about 4,200 nationwide and 2,900 more in Northeast Florida.
"What began with 10 students in Duval County has grown through the extraordinary commitment of a community that believes every child deserves access to the arts," said the Rev. Kimberly Hyatt, CAP's president and CEO.
The new funding builds on CAP's $26 million REIMAGINE campaign, launched last year to expand its Teaching Artist Fellowship model and support student exhibitions and performances.
