Manhattan Beach南瓜赛车今日在码头旁登场 家庭自制南瓜车比拼创意与速度
位于加州洛杉矶县的洛杉矶市，Manhattan Beach 年度南瓜赛车（Pumpkin Race）于 10 月 18 日（周日）在这座洛杉矶县海滨城市的码头（Manhattan Beach Pier）旁举行，参赛家庭把南瓜装上轮子做成赛车，在封闭路段上竞速。

Manhattan Beach's Annual Pumpkin Race Rolls Out by the Pier Today
Los Angeles is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The annual Manhattan Beach Pumpkin Race takes place today, Sunday, October 18, beside the Manhattan Beach Pier in this Los Angeles County beach city, where families race pumpkins fitted with wheels down a closed course.
A Halloween-season tradition run by the city and community organizers, the race requires each entry to be built from a single pumpkin, two axles and four wheels. Racers compete in single-elimination heats, with separate judging for creative designs, and many participants arrive in Halloween costumes.
The course is set up near the pier along Manhattan Beach Blvd, with temporary road closures in the area during the event. Spectating is free and open to the public.
The Manhattan Beach Pier is the city's best-known landmark, and the city advises visitors to use public lots or walk in, as race day coincides with regular weekend beach crowds.
