Bucks Edge Pacers 128-127 in Preseason Finale as Zubac Posts 11 Points, 11 Rebounds Against Turner
The Milwaukee Bucks edged the Indiana Pacers 128-127 in Indianapolis on Friday night, Oct. 16, in both teams' preseason finale. The matchup in the middle drew the attention: new Pacers center Ivica Zubac faced Bucks center Myles Turner, the Pacers' former franchise big man. Zubac finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds before sitting out the second half, while Turner had seven points and 13 rebounds in eight second-half minutes.
Indiana played without All-Stars Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, and its starters had built a 71-56 halftime lead before sitting. Assistant Lloyd Pierce served as acting head coach with Rick Carlisle attending his daughter's sorority event at the University of Virginia.
Both teams open the regular season next week, with Indiana's frontcourt rotation now built around Zubac. (GSM, based on reporting by the Indianapolis Star)
