Premier League: Everton Win 1-0 at Newcastle as Barry's Winner Lifts Them to Seventh
Everton beat Newcastle United 1-0 at St James' Park in the Premier League on November 2. The game's only goal came in the 49th minute, when Thierno Barry scored his first Premier League goal for Everton. Newcastle midfielder Jacob Ramsey was later sent off, and the ten-man hosts could not find an equalizer.
The win lifted David Moyes's Everton side to seventh in the table, while Newcastle dropped to 13th. Moyes said afterwards that the victory carried special meaning for him.
