宾夕法尼亚发布首份农业战略规划 州长在切斯特县农场宣布十年蓝图
宾夕法尼亚州州长乔什·夏皮罗10月16日在切斯特县切斯特斯普林斯的银河农场（Milky Way Farm），与农业厅长拉塞尔·Redding、社区与经济发展厅长里克·西格一同宣布该州首份农业战略规划，勾勒未来十年发展宾州农业、支持本地农户的蓝图。
州长办公室表示，夏皮罗此前制定了近二十年来该州首份州级经济发展战略，农业居于核心位置。宾州48,800多家农场每年为州经济贡献逾1320亿美元，支撑近60万个就业岗位。
农场共同所有人卡罗琳·马修斯·伊格尔豪斯、切斯特县经济发展委员会执行策略师加里·史密斯、Pasa可持续农业组织执行主任汉娜·金尼·史密斯以及州参议员朱迪·施万克出席了宣布活动。
Pennsylvania Governor to Announce State's First Strategic Plan for Agriculture in Chester County
Governor Josh Shapiro announced Pennsylvania's first-ever Strategic Plan for Agriculture on October 16 at Milky Way Farm in Chester Springs, Chester County, joined by Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding and Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger. The plan outlines a ten-year strategy to grow Pennsylvania agriculture and support local farmers.
According to the Governor's Office, agriculture sits at the forefront of the state's first statewide Economic Development Strategy in nearly two decades. More than 48,800 farms contribute over $132 billion annually to Pennsylvania's economy and support nearly 600,000 jobs.
Speakers at the event included farm co-owner Carolyn Matthews Eaglehouse, Chester County Economic Development Council Executive Strategist Gary Smith, Pasa Sustainable Agriculture Executive Director Hannah Kinney Smith, and state Senator Judy Schwank.
