弗吉尼亚州州长阿比盖尔·斯潘伯格10月13日在Richmond宣布，惠誉评级（Fitch Ratings）、穆迪评级（Moody's Ratings）与标普全球评级（S&P Global Ratings）三大主要评级机构已一致确认弗吉尼亚州的AAA/Aaa/AAA债券评级。
州长办公室称，AAA/Aaa/AAA是州政府能获得的最高评级水平，三家机构此次一致确认意味着弗吉尼亚州的最高信用等级获得全面维持。
债券评级是评级机构对州政府偿债信用的评估，评级处于最高档通常与州政府以较低成本发行债券融资的能力相关。此次确认由州长办公室于10月13日对外公布。
Virginia's AAA Bond Rating Affirmed by All Three Major Rating Agencies, Governor Announces October 13
Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger announced in Richmond on October 13 that the Commonwealth of Virginia's AAA/Aaa/AAA bond ratings have been affirmed by Fitch Ratings, Moody's Ratings and S&P Global Ratings, the three major rating agencies.
The Governor's Office said the AAA/Aaa/AAA ratings are the highest levels a state can receive, and that the affirmation by all three agencies maintains Virginia's top credit standing across the board.
Bond ratings are the rating agencies' assessments of a state government's creditworthiness for repaying debt, and a top-tier rating is generally associated with a state's ability to issue bonds for financing at lower cost. The affirmation was announced by the Governor's Office on October 13.
