Eastbound SR-210 Waterman Avenue Off-Ramp in San Bernardino to Close for 55 Hours Starting Friday Night
San Bernardino is a city in San Bernardino County, California. Caltrans District 8 and the City of San Bernardino have announced a full closure of the eastbound State Route 210 off-ramp at Waterman Avenue in San Bernardino, lasting 55 hours across the weekend, from 11 p.m. Friday, October 16, until 6 a.m. Monday, October 19. Drivers will need to use alternate exits while the ramp is closed.
The closure is part of Caltrans' $7.2 million improvement project at the off-ramp and the Waterman Avenue overcrossing. Planned work includes widening the ramp section leading onto the overcrossing from two lanes to three, modifying traffic signals, and installing guardrails and retaining walls. Caltrans says the project is intended to improve traffic flow, reduce congestion and improve safety at the interchange.
The City of San Bernardino says the eastbound H Street and E Street on-ramps may also close temporarily if needed for safety during the work; the city notice gives no times for those possible closures. Motorists traveling through the area over the weekend should watch for construction signs and follow posted detour instructions.
