世界粮食日今日举行 粮农组织罗马全球仪式以「今天创新，明天温饱」为主题
罗马——10月16日是世界粮食日。联合国粮食及农业组织（粮农组织，FAO）当天上午10时（罗马时间）在位于罗马的总部举行全球仪式，今年的主题是「今天创新，明天温饱」（Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.）。粮农组织表示，粮农组织总干事屈冬玉与联合国驻罗马机构的负责人等出席仪式，仪式包括教宗良十四世与联合国秘书长的特别致辞，并颁发粮农组织成就奖。
世界粮食日纪念粮农组织于1945年10月16日成立。粮农组织大会于1979年正式设立这一纪念日，此后每年在150多个国家举行相关活动，聚焦饥饿、营养与粮食安全问题。粮农组织表示，仅今年10月，全球各地就已举行数百场世界粮食日活动与宣传。
今年的主题聚焦创新在改造农业粮食体系中的作用。10月12日至16日，粮农组织在罗马总部举行世界粮食论坛，与粮食日共用同一主题，论坛由全球青年行动、科学与创新论坛与「手拉手」投资论坛三大板块组成。论坛期间，罗马马西莫赛马场还举办了「从种子到食物」全球展览，围绕作物、畜牧、渔业与水产、林业以及土地与水五大领域展示各国农业粮食体系的工作，展览于10月8日至12日向公众免费开放。
粮农组织是联合国系统负责农业与粮食事务的专门机构，总部设在罗马。本届世界粮食日全球仪式通过联合国网络电视对外直播。

World Food Day Marked Today as FAO Holds Rome Ceremony Under 'Innovate Today. Nourish Tomorrow.'
Rome — October 16 is World Food Day. The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) held its global ceremony at its headquarters in Rome at 10 a.m. Rome time, under this year's theme, 'Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.' FAO said Director-General Qu Dongyu was joined by the heads of the UN's Rome-based agencies, that the ceremony featured special messages from Pope Leo XIV and the UN Secretary-General, and that the FAO Achievement Award was presented.
World Food Day commemorates the founding of FAO on October 16, 1945. The FAO Conference formally established the observance in 1979, and it has since been marked each year in more than 150 countries, focusing attention on hunger, nutrition and food security. FAO said hundreds of World Food Day events and outreach activities have been held worldwide throughout October this year.
This year's theme highlights the role of innovation in transforming agrifood systems. From October 12 to 16, FAO hosted the World Food Forum at its Rome headquarters under the same theme, built around three pillars: Global Youth Action, the Science and Innovation Forum, and the Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum. The week also included the 'From Seeds to Foods' global exhibition at Circo Massimo in Rome, organized around crops, livestock, fisheries and aquaculture, forestry, and land and water, which ran from October 8 to 12 and was free to the public.
FAO is the UN system's specialized agency for agriculture and food, headquartered in Rome. The World Food Day global ceremony was carried live on UN Web TV.
