缅因州州长宣布10月15日为第二届「缅因足球日」 Portland新女足队将发布队名与队徽
缅因州州长珍妮特·米尔斯（Janet Mills）宣布，将2026年10月15日（星期四）定为该州第二个「缅因足球日」，以庆祝缅因州新成立的女子足球特许经营队。据州长办公室发布的消息，Portland松之心俱乐部（Portland Hearts of Pine）将于当天发布其美国足球联赛女子联赛（USL W）球队的队名、队徽与品牌形象，新队定于明年5月开启首个赛季。
米尔斯表示，松之心男队在头两个赛季为缅因带来了自豪感与活力，州政府乐见女子球队落户Portland，并称足球数十年来为全州儿童与成人带来了快乐与社区凝聚力。俱乐部创始人兼首席社区官加布·霍夫曼（Gabe Hoffman）表示，组建女队自俱乐部创立之初就在规划之中，首个「足球日」标志着俱乐部的起步，第二个「足球日」则迎来女队品牌发布。
缅因州曾于2024年4月宣布首个「缅因足球日」，以庆祝松之心男队的队名与队徽发布。此次女队品牌发布活动在Portland举行。

Governor Proclaims Oct. 15 as Second Maine Day of Soccer as Portland's New Women's Team Unveils Its Brand
Maine Governor Janet Mills has proclaimed Thursday, October 15, 2026, as the state's second Maine Day of Soccer, in celebration of Maine's new women's soccer franchise, according to the governor's office. The Portland Hearts of Pine will unveil the name, crest and brand identity of its USL W League team that day; the team is set to open its inaugural season next May.
Mills said the Hearts of Pine men's team has brought pride and energy to Maine in its first two seasons and welcomed the new women's team to Portland, noting that soccer has brought joy and community to Maine children and adults for decades. Gabe Hoffman, the club's founder and chief community officer, said a women's team had been part of the vision from the start, and that the first Day of Soccer marked the club's beginning while the second celebrates the women's team launch.
Maine proclaimed its first Maine Day of Soccer in April 2024 to mark the unveiling of the Hearts of Pine men's team's name and crest. The women's team brand unveiling takes place in Portland.
