西部州长协会主席、怀俄明州州长率领一个由西部各州州长与联邦参议员组成的代表团，参观了位于怀俄明州凯默勒（Kemmerer）在建的Natrium核电站。该项目由TerraPower公司与落基山电力公司（Rocky Mountain Power）合作建设，采用345兆瓦钠冷快堆设计，是首创机型。
项目建设阶段可提供数百个建筑岗位，投运后将设长期运营岗位，并为电网提供无碳基荷电力。怀俄明州州长戈登（Gordon）表示，西部各州对先进核能的兴趣正在增长，此类项目对地区能源安全具有重要意义。
Western Governors Tour Natrium Sodium-Cooled Reactor Project Under Construction in Wyoming
The chair of the Western Governors' Association, Wyoming's governor, led a delegation of western governors and U.S. senators on a tour of the Natrium nuclear plant under construction in Kemmerer, Wyoming. Built by TerraPower with Rocky Mountain Power, the 345-megawatt sodium-cooled fast reactor is a first-of-its-kind design.
Construction is supporting hundreds of jobs, with long-term operations positions to follow, and the plant will provide carbon-free baseload power. Governor Gordon said interest in advanced nuclear energy is growing across the West and that such projects matter for regional energy security.
