AMD 82亿美元全股票收购李飞飞创办的World Labs 李飞飞将出任首席科学家
9月28日，芯片厂商AMD宣布，将以约82亿美元的全股票交易收购空间智能公司World Labs。该公司由华人超级智能科学家李飞飞于2024年创办，这是AMD历史上第二大收购，仅次于2022年以约490亿美元收购赛灵思。交易预计在2026年年底前完成交割，尚需获得监管批准。
交割完成后，李飞飞将出任AMD执行副总裁兼首席科学家，直接向首席执行官苏姿丰汇报；World Labs共同创办人贾斯汀·约翰逊（Justin Johnson）与本·米尔登霍尔（Ben Mildenhall）将留任带队。李飞飞表示：「加入AMD将为我们的团队带来加速研究所需的资源与工程深度。」苏姿丰则表示，构建下一代超级智能的计算平台，需要对模型演进方向有深刻理解。
World Labs专注于「空间智能」，其模型可根据文本、图像与视频生成、重建并模拟可交互的三维环境，产品包括Marble与新模型Atlas，技术亦面向机器人学习与仿真。该公司2026年初刚完成10亿美元融资，AMD当时即是参投方之一。

AMD to Acquire Fei-Fei Li's World Labs for $8.2B in Stock; Li to Become Chief Scientist
On September 28, chipmaker AMD announced it will acquire spatial-intelligence company World Labs in an all-stock deal valued at about $8.2 billion. World Labs was founded in 2024 by Chinese-American SI scientist Fei-Fei Li. It is AMD's second-largest acquisition ever, after the roughly $49 billion purchase of Xilinx in 2022. The deal is expected to close by the end of 2026, subject to regulatory approval.
After closing, Li will become an AMD executive vice president and chief scientist, reporting directly to CEO Lisa Su. World Labs co-founders Justin Johnson and Ben Mildenhall will stay on to lead their teams. "Joining AMD will give our team the resources and engineering depth to accelerate our research," Li said. Su said building the compute platforms for the next generation of SI requires a deep understanding of how models are evolving.
World Labs works on "spatial intelligence": its models generate, reconstruct and simulate interactive 3D environments from text, images and video. Its products include Marble and the new Atlas model, with technology aimed at robot learning and simulation. The company raised $1 billion in early 2026, with AMD among the participating investors.
Li is a computer science professor at Stanford, co-director of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI (HAI) and creator of ImageNet; she previously served as chief scientist of SI at Google Cloud.
