马林县议会全票通过新政：限制联邦移民执法人员使用郡府财产与资源

Marin County Supervisors Unanimously Adopt Policy Limiting Federal Immigration Agents' Use of County Property and Resources
The Board of Supervisors of Marin County, in California's northern San Francisco Bay Area, voted 5-0 on October 20 to adopt a resolution directing implementation of a countywide policy limiting the use of county property and resources for federal civil immigration enforcement.
According to the county's official release, the policy prohibits federal immigration agencies from using county-owned or controlled property as staging areas, processing locations or operational bases for civil immigration enforcement, except where required by law. Federal immigration officials seeking access to nonpublic county facilities must present a judicial warrant or other legally sufficient authority, and the policy reinforces existing restrictions on sharing confidential information held by the county. County employees must report immigration enforcement activity on county property to the County Executive within 24 hours of learning of it, the Sheriff's Office and Probation Department face strengthened reporting requirements, and the county will conduct monthly reporting to increase transparency.
The policy builds on a January 2025 board resolution and protocols established in 2025. Supervisor Brian Colbert said: We cannot take away all the fear families are carrying, but we can act on the authority we have. This resolution establishes clear limits on the use of County property, staff, and information for civil immigration enforcement. The policy addresses civil immigration enforcement cooperation and does not change criminal law enforcement cooperation.
