Denver Council Votes Unanimously to Publish Mayor's Proposed 2027 Budget: Public Hearing Set for October 26 Evening
The Denver City Council, in the City and County of Denver, Colorado, voted unanimously on October 19 to instruct the clerk to publish notice that the Mayor's proposed budget for 2027 is open for public inspection, and set a public hearing for October 26 at 5:30 p.m.
The notice specifies inspection hours and location in Room 451 of the City and County Building. At the hearing, residents can share input by submitting written testimony or signing up to speak in person or via Zoom on Mayor Mike Johnston's proposed 2027 budget.
Denver's annual budget is subject to council review and approval. The mayor's 2027 proposal anticipates city revenue increasing only slightly more than 1% from this year. Publication of the draft and the public hearing are steps ahead of the council's deliberations, possible amendments and final adoption.
