Ride a NASCAR Track on October 27: Laps for Charity at Charlotte Motor Speedway Raises Funds for Children
Speedway Children's Charities announced that its annual 'Laps for Charity' event will take place on October 27 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina: for a $60 donation, anyone can drive their own car for three laps on the legendary NASCAR superspeedway and experience the track from a racer's perspective. Now in its fifth year, the session is expected to draw 23 participants.
Presented by Dell Technologies and sponsored by the Drive for a Cause Foundation, the event emphasizes that the real winners are not the drivers: since 1982, Speedway Children's Charities has distributed more than $73 million to hundreds of children's charities nationwide, helping millions of children access education, medical care and social services.
