西雅图翼路克博物馆恩氏故居开放预约导览：1937年华裔家庭老宅讲述唐人街历史
华盛顿州金县西雅图市（Seattle）唐人街国际区的翼路克博物馆宣布，恩氏故居自10月29日起开放公众预约导览。翼路克博物馆公布了故居的参观安排。
这座位于 611 8th Ave S 的单层家庭住宅由孙金恩一家于1937年建造，一家人拥有并居住了80多年，是该区现存最完整、保存最完好的历史家庭住宅之一。孙金恩创办并经营了民兴针织公司，家人还陆续开办了恩氏杂货、金星咖啡馆与金氏洗衣店等生意，在大萧条时期一边在西雅图谋生、一边向广东的亲人汇款。住宅地下室还曾经营豆芽生意，反映了早期华裔家庭在排华法案与住房歧视年代的生存与创业历程。
翼路克博物馆于2021年以180万美元收购这座住宅，将其作为沉浸式展陈，呈现20世纪初唐人街国际区一个华裔家庭的生活。导览须提前预约，成人票30美元、长者票25美元，博物馆会员可享预览导览折扣，预约可通过博物馆官网或电话办理。
Wing Luke Museum Opens Reserved Tours of the Eng Family Home, a 1937 Chinese American House in Seattle
SEATTLE, Wash. — The Wing Luke Museum in Seattle's Chinatown-International District has opened the Eng Family Home to reserved public tours starting October 29, the museum announced.
The one-story house at 611 8th Ave S was built in 1937 by the family of Sun King Eng, who owned and lived in it for more than 80 years; it is among the district's most intact and best-preserved historic family homes. Eng founded and ran the Min Hing Knitting Company, and the family went on to operate the Eng Grocery, the Gold Star Cafe and Kim's Laundry, earning a living in Seattle during the Great Depression while sending remittances to relatives in Guangdong. A bean sprout business once operated out of the basement — a window into how early Chinese American families survived and built businesses in the era of the Chinese Exclusion Act and housing discrimination.
The Wing Luke Museum acquired the house in 2021 for $1.8 million and presents it as an immersive exhibit of one Chinese American family's life in the early-20th-century Chinatown-International District. Tours are by reservation: $30 for adults and $25 for seniors, with member preview discounts, bookable through the museum's website or by phone.
