MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Penn State's men's hockey team beat No. 18 Minnesota in a shootout on October 30 in the Big Ten opener at 3M Arena at Mariucci, the university reported.
The teams were tied 1-1 through regulation and overtime before Dane Dowiak scored the deciding goal in the fifth round of the shootout.
