檀香山急救医疗服务表彰16名员工 四人获英勇奖
夏威夷州檀香山县檀香山市消息，檀香山市长里克·布兰贾迪（Rick Blangiardi）与檀香山急救医疗服务部（EMS）于11月6日在尼尔·布莱斯德尔中心（Neal S. Blaisdell Center）举行年度表彰仪式，表彰16名员工的英勇表现、卓越服务与突出贡献。布兰贾迪向获奖者颁发证书与奖牌，表彰他们挽救生命、强化急救医疗服务、守护欧胡岛居民健康安全的努力。部门最高荣誉英勇奖授予急救区主管朱莉·渡边（Julie Watanuki）、护理人员威尔·巴塔隆（Will Batalon）以及急救医疗技术员亚历克西斯·德科斯塔（Alexis De Costa）与罗德尼·威廉姆斯（Rodney Williams），四人因在2026年3月20日历史性科纳低压风暴期间的英勇行动获奖。年度市长奖仪式同时表彰各部门表现突出的市府雇员。
Honolulu EMS Honors 16 Employees; Four Receive Valor Awards
HONOLULU, Hawaii — Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi and the Honolulu Emergency Services Department (EMS) held their annual awards ceremony on November 6 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Center, honoring 16 employees for heroism, outstanding service and exceptional achievements. Blangiardi presented certificates and medals to the honorees, recognizing their efforts to save lives, strengthen emergency medical services and protect the health and safety of Oahu residents. The department's highest honor, the valor award, went to EMS district chief Julie Watanuki, paramedic Will Batalon, and emergency medical technicians Alexis De Costa and Rodney Williams, recognized for their heroic actions during the historic Kona low storm of March 20, 2026. The annual Mayor's Award ceremony also recognized outstanding city employees across departments.
