伊利诺伊州警第二队公布10月专项巡查结果：三类巡查共开出180张罚单
伊利诺伊州警察局第二队（Troop 2）11月6日在莫林（Moline）公布10月三类专项巡查的结果，巡查范围为拉萨尔县和罗克艾兰县。队长杰森·迪基（Jason Dickey）上尉表示，三类巡查合计开出180张罚单与逮捕，并发出34份书面警告。
酒精对策执法巡查（ACE）针对与醉驾以及非法运输或消费酒精、毒品有关的违法行为，开出酒驾罚单2张、其他酒精与毒品罚单3张、乘员约束违例4张、登记违例10张、驾照违例4张、保险违例8张，合计罚单与逮捕75张、书面警告17份。
夜间执法巡查（NITE）在下午6时至次日清晨6时之间展开，重点查处醉驾与乘员约束违例，开出酒驾罚单0张、其他酒精与毒品罚单7张、乘员约束违例2张、登记违例5张、驾照违例3张、保险违例6张，合计罚单与逮捕48张、书面警告12份。
乘员约束执法巡查（OREP）为州警提供额外巡逻力量，专注于确保所有车辆乘员系好安全带，开出安全带罚单35张、儿童约束罚单0张，合计罚单57张、书面警告5份。
州警表示，酒精与毒品损害驾驶能力据估计是伊利诺伊州所有致命机动车事故中超过47%的因素，在美国每39分钟就有一人死于与酒精有关的交通事故；伊利诺伊州一半以上的致命事故发生在夜间。这三类巡查项目均由伊利诺伊州交通部资助。

Illinois State Police Troop 2 Reports October Patrol Results: 180 Citations Across Three Patrols
Illinois State Police (ISP) Troop 2 Commander Captain Jason Dickey announced on November 6 in Moline the results of three special patrols held in La Salle and Rock Island counties during October. Across the three patrols, troopers issued a combined 180 citations and arrests and 34 written warnings.
Alcohol Countermeasure Enforcement (ACE) patrols focused on preventing, detecting, and taking enforcement action against violations associated with impaired driving and illegal transportation or consumption of alcohol or drugs. Troopers issued 2 DUI citations, 3 other alcohol and drug citations, 4 occupant restraint offenses, 10 registration offenses, 4 driver's license offenses and 8 insurance violations, for a total of 75 citations and arrests and 17 written warnings.
Nighttime Enforcement (NITE) patrols, conducted between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., focused on impaired driving and occupant restraint violations. They produced 0 DUI citations, 7 other alcohol and drug citations, 2 occupant restraint offenses, 5 registration offenses, 3 driver's license offenses and 6 insurance violations, for a total of 48 citations and arrests and 12 written warnings.
Occupant Restraint Enforcement Patrols (OREP) provided extra patrol coverage so officers could focus on making sure all vehicle occupants were buckled up. Troopers issued 35 safety belt citations and 0 child restraint citations, for a total of 57 citations and 5 written warnings.
The ISP said alcohol and drug impairment are estimated to be a factor in more than 47% of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois, and that there is one alcohol-related traffic fatality every 39 minutes in the United States; over half of all fatal crashes in Illinois occur at night. All three patrol projects were funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
