纽森悼念殉职洛杉矶警员Denton：46岁、从警20年，值勤训练中身亡

Newsom Honors Fallen LAPD Officer Thomas Denton, 46, a 20-Year Veteran
California Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statement on November 6 on the death of Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) Officer Thomas Denton of Los Angeles, in Los Angeles County, California, announcing that flags at the State Capitol and Capitol Annex Swing Space will be flown at half-staff in his honor.
"Today, we honor Officer Denton's lasting legacy to the people of Los Angeles," Newsom said. "Jennifer and I deeply mourn his loss and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues. May he be remembered for his dedication and honorable service."
According to the Governor's Office, Officer Denton tragically lost his life on November 5 while participating in an on-duty training exercise; despite medical efforts to revive him, he was pronounced deceased. Denton, 46, was assigned to LAPD's Metropolitan Division and had served for 20 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.
