南卡执法人员救出11只狗 一男子被控斗狗与虐待动物
南卡罗来纳州执法局（SLED）2026年11月6日宣布，该局已对位于该州里奇兰县（Richland County）的一名57岁男子 Thomas Hoefer 提出指控，罪名是组织动物搏斗（Animal Fighting）与虐待动物（Ill Treatment of Animals）。这次行动中共有11只狗被救出。
SLED 与里奇兰县警长办公室（Richland County Sheriff's Department）、Columbia 市警察局以及美国防止虐待动物协会（ASPCA）联合开展了这次行动。ASPCA 已把救出的11只狗转运走，做医疗评估与治疗。SLED 随稿公布的现场照片显示，被救的狗被粗重的铁链拴在泥泞的林地里，脖子上套着宽厚的项圈。

SLED Rescues 11 Dogs, Charges Richland County Man With Animal Fighting and Ill Treatment of Animals
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) announced on November 6, 2026, that it has charged Thomas Hoefer, 57, of Richland County, South Carolina, with Animal Fighting and Ill Treatment of Animals. Eleven dogs were rescued in the operation.
SLED partnered with the Richland County Sheriff's Department, the Columbia Police Department, and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). The ASPCA transported the 11 rescued dogs for medical evaluation and treatment. Photos released by SLED from the scene show a rescued dog held by a heavy chain on muddy, wooded ground, wearing a thick collar.
Hoefer was booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County. The case will be prosecuted by the Fifth Circuit Solicitor's Office.
