Chris Brown and Usher's Atlanta Opener Hit by Long Delay as Five-Show Stand Sets Venue Record
ATLANTA, Ga. — The Atlanta opener of Chris Brown and Usher's joint R&B tour at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on the night of November 5 drew complaints from fans over a serious delay to the start of the show.
The venue's official schedule had doors opening at 6 p.m. and the show starting at 7:30 p.m., but social media filled with audience complaints about the pushed-back start time and late-night reactions, and the exact time the two singers took the stage has not been independently confirmed. New rumors of a rift between the two also surfaced online, but there is no confirmed evidence of any new falling-out, and the dispute over the show's timing should not be conflated with alleged personal conflict.
The Atlanta stand comprises five shows, on November 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11. According to the venue, the pair is the first touring act to play five shows at the stadium in a single stand. Four earlier dates on the tour were canceled in October, and attention will now fall on how the remaining Atlanta shows unfold.
