加州逾600万人照护亲友邻里：老龄事务部在全国照护者月呼吁善用免费支持
加州老龄事务部（California Department of Aging, CDA）11月5日表示，加州有600多万人照护家人、朋友或邻里，但许多人并不把自己视为照护者——即使他们日常在为亲友备餐、协助用药、接送出行或处理其他生活所需。
该部指出，许多照护者并不知道有免费或低成本的照护支持可用。11月是全国照护者月（National Family Caregivers Month），老龄事务部借此提高公众对照护在日常生活中各种形态的认识，帮助加州居民对接可用的支持与资源。
该部表示，11月期间如媒体就照护题材采访，该部可提供信息、资源或受访安排。

More Than 6 Million Californians Are Caregivers, State Aging Department Notes in National Family Caregivers Month
The California Department of Aging (CDA) said on November 5 that more than 6 million Californians care for family members, friends, or neighbors, but many do not think of themselves as caregivers, even when they regularly help with meals, medications, transportation, or other daily needs.
The department noted that many caregivers are not aware that free or low-cost caregiver support is available. November is National Family Caregivers Month, and CDA is raising awareness of the many ways caregiving shows up in everyday life and helping Californians connect with available support and resources.
CDA said it can help with information, resources, or interviews for caregiving stories during the month.
