e.l.f. Beauty Net Sales Jump 51% to $520.8 Million: 31st Straight Quarter of Growth as Full-Year Outlook Raised
Oakland — e.l.f. Beauty, Inc., headquartered in Oakland, California, on November 4 reported results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027, ended September 30, 2026: net sales increased 51% to $520.8 million, the company's 31st consecutive quarter of net sales growth; gross margin expanded about 160 basis points to roughly 71%; net income was $30.0 million, or $0.50 per diluted share; adjusted earnings per share were $1.21; and adjusted EBITDA rose 86% to $123.4 million.
The company said growth was driven by strength across its retailer and e-commerce channels in the U.S. and internationally, across a portfolio that includes e.l.f. Cosmetics, skincare brand rhode, Naturium and Well People. It received $52 million in tariff refunds in the first half of the fiscal year, which management intends to reinvest in lower pricing and marketing.
The company raised its fiscal 2027 outlook: net sales are now expected to reach $2.003 billion to $2.029 billion, up 22% to 24% year over year, from 18% to 20% previously; adjusted EBITDA is expected at $421 million to $427 million; and adjusted earnings per share at $3.82 to $3.86.
