犹他州失踪少女17个月后在俄勒冈州获救 39岁男子被联邦起诉

Missing Utah Teen Rescued in Oregon After 17 Months; Man Faces Federal Charge
A Utah teenager missing for about 17 months has been rescued in Oregon, and the man accused of taking her has been charged federally, the Justice Department announced. Kylie Arellano, now 17, disappeared from her home in Garden City, Utah, on May 29, 2025, at age 15.
According to the department, the case broke in mid-October 2026 when Arellano contacted another minor she met through the online game Among Us; that teen's mother alerted the FBI. On November 1, investigators confirmed the lead through a monitored video call, and Oregon police and federal agents rescued the girl from the home of Adam Hunter Harmel, 39, of Huntington, Oregon.
A federal complaint filed November 2 in the District of Utah charges Harmel with transportation of a minor with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity. He made his initial appearance on November 4 in federal court in Boise, Idaho. U.S. Attorney Melissa Holyoak said the priority was ensuring the victim's safe return.
