Norco市府公布近期社区活动排期：11月5日亡灵节庆典、11日退伍军人节仪式与免费野餐会

City of Norco Announces Community Event Lineup: Day of the Dead on November 5, Veterans Day Ceremony and Free Picnic on November 11
The City of Norco, in Riverside County, California, has announced a lineup of community events for November and December in its latest city newsletter, including a Day of the Dead celebration on November 5, a Veterans Day ceremony and free picnic on November 11, a free mulch and compost giveaway on November 14, and the Christmas Festival and Parade of Lights on December 12. Norco is known as "Horsetown USA."
The Day of the Dead celebration will be held on Thursday, November 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Barn at Ingalls Event Center, with free admission, traditional Mexican music and performances, altar displays (residents are asked to bring copies of photos only), kids' activities and crafts, face painting, a costume contest, authentic food vendors and a farmers market.
The Veterans Day ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 11, at 10 a.m., with speeches and live performances, followed by a free Picnic in the Park with barbecue provided by the Norco Lions Club. On Saturday, November 14, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or until supplies last, the city will give away free mulch and compost in the Ingalls Event Center parking lot to Norco residents with proof of residency, up to 60 gallons of each per household, first come first served; residents must bring their own containers, bags and shovels.
The Christmas Festival will be held on Saturday, December 12, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Barn, with free admission, entertainment and food and craft vendors. The Parade of Lights will follow at 5 p.m. down Sixth Street from Corona Avenue to Crestview Drive. Breakfast with Santa and the Gingerbread Build require advance online tickets, and activity wristbands are $10 online or $15 at the event.
The city is also recruiting residents to serve on its boards and commissions, with applications through the city website. Ingalls Event Center is located at 3737 Crestview Drive.
