Five-Star 2027 Center Cherif Millogo Commits to Kentucky Basketball on November 4
Kentucky men's basketball coach Mark Pope landed arguably the biggest commitment of his tenure on November 4, as five-star 2027 center Cherif Millogo announced on social media that he will join the Wildcats. 247Sports lists Millogo at 7-foot-4, while On3 and ESPN list him at 7-foot-5. Millogo is Kentucky's second commitment in the 2027 class, joining five-star small forward Ryan Hampton, who committed earlier.
The commitment is regarded as one of the biggest of Pope's three years in charge. Kentucky is one of college basketball's traditional powers and has produced generations of professional players, with the center position long at the core of its system. Millogo combines size with mobility, and recruiting analysts widely expect him to anchor the Wildcats' frontcourt in the future. His pledge gives Kentucky's 2027 class early shape.
Recruiting continues, as Pope's staff hopes to add more talent around Millogo and Hampton and strengthen the team's position in the Southeastern Conference and nationally. Millogo is expected to enroll in the fall of 2027.
